Presents for Me!!!

What a wonderful surprise!  I received presents today.  I love them!!!  Not sure why I would need an ipad but....it would be nice I guess, hahaha....  Got a busy day ahead as usual.  It just rained and weather is gloomy so I will take more pictures of the pup when the weather is better and I can get better light.

Aimee's Babies

Aimee gave birth to 3 boys and 3 girls 2 days ago.  Everything went very well and she delivered all of them very quickly, 4 hours in total.  Thats fast!  With Blossom I was up all night!  So I am very happy it was over quick and have two litters to manage its not easy.  I been having very little sleep and yesterday only about 4 hours in total.  Today I only managed lunch at 4pm, hahaha.  Now they have all been fed and now I have some time to myself.

Aimee is a good mum considering this is her first time.  She stays and lets her pup nurse and she groom them and clean them.  When Aimee's pups whine, Blossom will always come to see and check, she thinks its her babies too, I think, or maybe she feels that she is mother to all puppies, hahaha, she is funny and a great mum.  I think she would even take in a piglet as her own and raise it, hahaha.

Blossom's babies are so cute now.  They sleep little less, they play a bit more and watching them play is heavenly! They are so adorable with the funny noises they make. I shall take more pictures of them soon.  Meantime here are Aimee's pups.  Two days old today.

My wee pink nose

Remember this girl with the pink nose?  Look at her nose now.  Its getting black and soon it will be all black.  She is a real cutie pie.  They are awake more now compared to a couple days ago.  They even play with each other sometimes.  Soon they be out in the garden!  I cant wait for that.  Thats the cutest part.  The weather was lousy today.  It rained first thing in the morning and I couldnt do anything outdoor.  Hopefully it be better tomorrow.  I have always dreamt of living out of the city.  I would love more peace and quiet and more greens.  I would like to wake up and see trees all around me.  Hopefully that will come true soon!  Its going to be an exciting week for me.  Aimee due soon and I am going to visit a friend who loves shelties very much and to find my ultimate dream home! Yahoo!  Loads of excitment ahead and I cant wait.

Names

I have been thinking and thinking and thinking and finally decided on the pedigree names for Blossy's babies.  I love meaningful names.  Whenever I give them their pedigree names, I dont just pick a name.  It must be a pretty and meaningful name.  And they are :

1. Caledonian Glory
2. Caledonian Love
3. Caledonian Rose
4. Caledonian Sunshine
5. Caledonian Princess

What do you think?  I love them!!  More babies to name when Aimee gives birth!!

The little rascals are doing well and they have grown so much.  I needed some help, to hold the pup while I cut their nails and my sister in law who visited yesterday helped with holding the pup while I cut the nails.  My little niece sat beside her mum and watched me do it.  The little pup was whining while I was cutting the nail and my little niece (4 years old) said to the pup - Its ok....its ok...just relax, with her soft gentle voice.  It made my heart melt!  I will get more photos when I get the chance.  I have so much to do and better prepare myself for Aimee's babies.  I will keep you posted, till then take care and have a great evening!

Getting cuter by the day

Blossom's pups are two weeks old today.  They are doing fine and well and getting cuter by the day.  The noise that they make sometimes is hillarious and so adorable.  Here they are at two weeks old.  I just took some pictures. Enjoy!  For the sake of those who arent familiar with shelties, most sable and white are born dark and they change colour as they grow.  What you see now is not what they are going to be like when they are older.  But they will still be sable and white of course, hahaha....

This wee girl is half asleep, she looks so adorable with that pink nose.  It will be black when she gets older.

This girl reminds me of Ceasar she looks and behaves like him when he was a wee boy.  She is really sweet

The Cutie Pies

The cutie pies are 12 days old today!  Their eyes are open now and they look extremely adorable.  Got some pictures today.  Pictures arent great, weather gloomy and its dark in the house or ok... ok... my bad photography skills, hahaha

They are still super adorable and here they are.  Am still thinking of their pedigree names...cant decide yet,  perhaps in a couple of days....

10 Days old

Blossom's girls are doing fine and well.  They are 10 days old today.  All they do now is feed and sleep.  What a wonderful life, hahaha...it would be nice if I get to do that sometimes.  In about two weeks or so, they will learn how to eat solid food and will be slowly weaned off mummy's milk.

Here they are at 10 days old.  I have yet to name them.  I better do that soon!

6 Days Old

Blossom's babies are 6 days old today.  I took some pictures of them today.  Enjoy!

Blossom's Babies

Finally I managed SOME pictures of the pups.  They are doing fine.  Blossom is always watching over them like a Hawk.  She is a great mum, very responsible.  The sligtest sound the pups make, she will check on them.  For the past 48 hours or so, I only got about 8 hours sleep in total on two seperate days, 2 hours on first day and 6 hours on the second day.  Hopefully by tomorrow I can get more sleep.  But I am feeling not too bad.

As usual, sable and white pups are born quite dark, and they change as they grow.  Even their nose is pink in colour!  That will get darker in a few weeks time.   At 2 years old, sometimes their colour is still changing a little.  To know what your sheltie's final and actual colour is, wait till it is 2 - 3 years old.  They are unique and not like other dogs where their colours are pretty straight forward.

Here are the pups at just a few hours old.  I will try and get more pictures soon.  Cant wait till they start walking.  Its so cute to watch....

At Last!

At last, Blossom finally gave birth on the 3rd Feb 2012.  She gave birth to 5 beautiful girls!  I have never had that many girls in one litter before.  Blossom and the pups are fine.  I am not fine though, hahahha,  I been awake for more than 24 hours now.  Getting a bit too old to be awake that long, hahaha.

I shall post pictures soon, give me a few hours of sleep.  The pups are nursing now.  I got so much to do and I am so tired.  I hope I get everything done today.  But before that I must get at least two hours of sleep.

Am off to bed! at 8am in the morning! Dont sound right, hahaha...

Today?

Blossom still hasnt given birth.  Nothing to panic about because they dont always arrive on time. hahha..  It should be really soon though.  Maybe tonight?  I havent a clue as she hasnt given me one yet.  I am very excited and I hope it will be soon and also hopefully during the day.  3pm today will be just fine, hahaha, what do you say Blossom?  Possible?  I will keep you all posted :)
